Week 16

Hello Preschool Families and Friends,

We had a great day in preschool! We had a lot of fun finding ways to be active indoors! We have been having so much fun learning about Dinosaurs. This week we learned about Carnivores and Herbivores. 

Next Week

• We will finish out unit on Dinosaurs and study the letter P
• Thursday is an early dismissal day. School is done at 11:30. We will eat lunch in the classroom so please send a cold lunch on this day or your child can purchase a bag lunch. 

Upcoming Events

• Early Dismissal- Feb 1st 
• Valentine's Day Party- February 15th 
• Winter Break February 26th- March 6th

Week 15

Hello Preschool Families and Friends,

We had another great week in preschool. Our classroom is such a fun place to be!

This Week
We have been having so much fun learning about Dinosaurs. We even fit everyone’s footprint into a T-Rex footprint. We also learned about the letter N. I have been so impressed with how well the children are learning their letter sounds!

Next Week

We will continue studying Dinosaurs. We will learn what a carnivore is and what herbivores are. We will “feed” two inflatable dinosaurs pictures of food we find in magazines depending on if there are meat or plants. We will also walk over to the skating rink and go “ice skating” in our boots during outdoor play time.

We are wrapping up Parent Teacher Conferenced next week so if we haven’t got a chance to meet and you would like to please sign up via email or on the sign up next to the sign in

Week 14

Hello Preschool Family and Friends,

We had a great week in preschool! I keep waiting to post the blog hoping that I can figure out how to get pictures on it from my new phone, but I am embracing I am no longer young and technology savvy and will ask our wonderful tech support tomorrow J

This week:

We began our study of Dinosaurs. The children are very excited and eager to learn about these prehistoric creatures! We read How Do Dinosaurs Stay Friends? and acted out the story using masks. We also had such a fun field trip to the Echo Center! Thank you to all of the parents who came and chaperoned! We couldn’t do it without you!

Next week:

We will continue learning about dinosaurs. We will see how many preschooler feet fit into a T-Rex footprint and make some dinosaurs. We will also learn about the letter N.

Week 13

Happy New Year Preschool Families and Friends,

We had a short but sweet week back in preschool!

This week:
We continued with our Fundations curriculum. We are already up to the letter L. The children are learning the letter names, sounds, and even the sign language for each letter. We also wrapped up our Jan Brett unit

Next week:
We will begin our studies of Dinosaurs. We will act out a story about how dinosaurs stay friends. Next week is also our field trip to Echo. Remember to turn in your permission slip and payment on Tuesday if you haven't already done so.

Dates to Remember:
Parent Teacher Conferences- Are taking place before and after school for the month of January. Sign up is next to the sign in

January 11th- Field Trip to Echo. We will leave the school at 8:30 sharp and return at 12:45

Week 12

We have had so much fun in preschool getting ready for and celebrating the upcoming holiday.
Thank you to everyone who came to our Christmas party today. Our room was full of candy, glitter, and flour but by the time everyone left it was clean- Thank you!

Have a wonderful holiday with your preschoolers! It is such a magical time in their lives. As a parent I’m learning it can also be such a stressful time so I am constantly reminding myself to slow down and enjoy these precious moments 😃
