Week 11

Hello Preschool Friends and Families,

We had a great week in preschool!

This week:

We finished our community helpers unit by talking about construction workers. We had a FABULOUS trip to G.W. Tatro. The children got to see many types of equipment in action and got to go into an excavator. We even got to see how much our class weighed on the big scale! We weigh 640 pounds! Thank you to all the parents who came and helped!

Next week:

We will begin our Jan Brett author study. Tuesday is an early release day for the whole school so preschool will let out at 11:30. We will have lunch in the classroom on this day and children can order a bag lunch.

Coming up:

December 21^st- 11:30 Christmas Party

A Few Reminders

·         Please make sure your child comes to school with:

o   Boots

o   Snowpants

o   Hat

o   Mittens

o   Jacket

·         If the school has a 2 hour delay preschool is closed for the day

Week 10- Pajama Day next Tuesday!

Hello Preschool Friends and Families,

This Week:

We had such a fun week in Preschool! We learned about what Fire Fighters do and had a great trip to the fire station. A big THANK YOU to Kristy Wyckoff for opening the fire department for us, all the parents who came and helped, and Mrs. Lafountain who made sure the children got to give Sparky a hug J

Next Week:

We only have one day of school and will be having a Pajama Party since we filled our good behavior jar. The children worked hard cleaning up, walking in line, stopping and looking when they heard the bell, and being super friends to get pompoms in our bear. They also voted to watch the movie Sing.

Coming up:

November 21^st- Pajama Day

November 23^rd- No School

November 30^th- Walking Field Trip to GW Tatro

Week 9

Hello Preschool Families and Friends,

We had a wonderful week in Preschool!

This Week:

We had an awesome field trip to Cambridge Rescue! They do such a wonderful job with our preschoolers. They got to ride on a stretcher, go in the ambulance, and try out some of the medical equipment. Thank you to all of the parents who came along!

The tooth tutor also came for a visit and talked to us about how important it is to brush your teeth and what it is like to visit the dentist.

Next Week:

We will learn about what Firefighters do and make fire dog hats. We will take a walking field trip to Cambridge Rescue on Thursday. We would love for you to join us for this trip if you are available. We will leave the school at 9:10.

November 16^th- Walking Field Trip to Cambridge Fire Department (leave school at 9:10)

November 16^th- Picture Retake Day- We will take our class photo on this day

November 21^st- Pajama Day- We filled our good behavior jar so we will have a pajama party and vote on a movie to watch (either Moana or Trolls)

November 23^rd- No School

November 30^th- Walking Field Trip to GW Tatro

Week 8- Don't forget Open House Tonight 5:00-6:00

Happy November Preschool Families and Friends,

Don’t forget we have Open House T O N I G H T from 5:00-6:00 and would love for you to stop in and do a scavenger hunt with your preschooler so they can show you what they do at school.

We have been having so much fun in preschool! We had such a fun day celebrating Halloween on Tuesday. Thanks to all the parents who came to watch our costume parade.

This week:

We started learning about Community Helpers and the children talked about what they might like to be when they grow up! 

When we grow up we want to be a...

  

We also started learning about feelings and talked about how you can tell how someone is feeling by looking at their face. We talked about what it means to be happy and what it means to be sad. 

Next week:

We will learn what Paramedics do and what number to call in an emergency. We will visit Cambridge Rescue on Thursday at 9:30 (leave the school at 9:15) and would love for parents to join us! We also have the “tooth tutor” coming to visit us on Thursday to talk about dental hygiene.
